MilkshakeZombie is an artist driven 3d resource marketplace. We offer a place to upload 3d models and resources so that people can purchase them.

That's it? what makes you so special?

We believe that artists deserve more for their hard work, and want to make the whole process of the marketplace a whole lot nicer. MilkshakeZombie offers a minimum of 80% royalty for any product on the site. We also have offers for royalty boosts to reward good community members.

Why is this place so crap right now?

MilkshakeZombie is currently in invite only alpha testing. We are doing this to iron out the numerous kinks in the system so that when we move to the next stage of development we can do it as painlessly as possible. What you see now is a bare-bones version of the site, with a half hearted CSS skin thrown over the top. Alpha testing means that the site will undergo many changes and whole parts may be re-written or removed. We will do all we can to avoid contact with user-submitted content, but it might happen! We will contact you before we fiddle with your stuff, and give you time to prepare. If you are an awesome web designer type (we are all modellers) then get in touch with us to offer your help! We'll reciprocate the favour in any way we can.

What is "maximum royalty"?

Maximum royalty is 100% royalty less third party fees and charges. Milkshakezombie takes no cut from a maximum royalty sale. In the future we hope to even be able to foot the bill of the third party fees, but for now we can't afford it.

What do you mean "artist driven"?

The MilkshakeZombie team set out to put the power of the marketplace back in the artists hands. We even coined a term! We call it "Greed Free Enterprise". By offering such a high royalty rate we hope that artists can afford to keep their prices low. The low prices attract more customers (traffic), and more traffic means more sales (generally). In this system it behooves everyone to keep to the ethos of Greed Free Enterprise.

What if I want to set my prices higher since I have such a good royalty rate?

You can go right ahead, but your traffic might take a hit.

So I should set my prices at rock bottom?

No, the concept only works if we all keep a level head. As a part of the membership agreements, MilkshakeZombie can adjust your pricing.

Just like that?

The MilkshakeZombie team will go to all efforts to consult you about your pricing, we don't want to boss you around. We will offer you suggested price ranges and give you plenty of time to come to a decision yourself, but if all else fails, yes. Just like that.

Do you have any exclusivity programs?

Nope. If you want to sell the same models on another website that's totally okay. We do ask that you take into consideration our royalty rate when setting you prices on your various marketplaces though. Lower prices here attracts more customers and you may find that your model will sell better here purely because it is cheaper. Ever put up a model for $1? They sell like hotcakes.

What's the deal with membership?

Signing up will give you access to purchase and publish products, it's free and easy, like the 60s.

What is the exact royalty rate setup?

All members get a base royalty rate of 80%. Offers from time to time will boost that royalty rate. These boosts may come in the form of a number of sales at a higher rate, or a set amount of time at a higher rate. All royalty bonus amounts are stackable to a maximum of max royalty, time periods and boosted sales are infinitely stackable.

So what is the deal with beta offers?

Since MilkshakeZombie is a user-driven marketplace, we need users! In order to attract people to our beta program we have some special offers for people joining, testing and frequenting the site during the beta testing. Here is a list of the defined beta offers available now. Keep in mind that we might decide to do something nice just because you're a top bloke or because the mood takes us.

• Users that report a new bug will get their next sale at max royalty. Users that help us fix a bug will get two! (whether or not you helped us fix it is up to our discretion, but we're pretty lenient here)
• Vendors that join during beta get their first sale at max royalty, just for joining! We hope this will entice people to upload products during our beta testing.
• Vendors that join during beta get a max royalty sale for every 5 unique products they upload. We want to have as many products on sale as possible as we transition into further testing stages so we can squeeze every last bug out of the system before we get all official and stuff.
